Worldwide consumption of EVO has doubled in the last 30 years: in 2020 it has reached the record of 3.1 trillion kilos

2020 a small crop of excellent URRAH,
green and spicy!
The past year Sicily saw a slump in the production of extra virgin olive oil that affected overall production between 10% and 60% in the region. Our crop saw an overall 60% drop partly expected as the trees had their biannual trim back in February. This was combined with scarce rainfall in the months of January and February, and the hot Saharan wind called scirocco in May, a delicate time in the development of the trees when they flowers get pollinated and start developing the fruit. Lastly, September brought high winds shaking off the least resistant olives from the branches.
Aroma: 2020 Urrah is a potent scent of cut grass and tomatoes with a hint of artichokes thrown in. Superbly smooth and balanced on the tongue, the green taste combines with the tang that lingers on the palate for a long time, appeasing the most demanding taste buds.
We hold still some excellent 2019 stock that will last for another 1+ years. We have discounted 2019 and slightly increased 2020's stock price to reflect the market rate. See our new pricing and buy on our order page and check our delivery page to see when we are next in your area.
As we are fast approaching the end of the Brexit transition period we wait hear what will become of us. There's so much uncertainty about imports involving the planning of new byzantine custom and excise systems that require specially trained mandarins to fill out forms. I really hope this is just another year of URRAH, we have grown so much in these 7 years and it's lovely to see so many loyal costumers returning year on year. But maybe the positive news trend we have seen this November will carry on to bring us hope for a joyous 2021!
